Hi! I’m Travis Maril, and I’m a violist, professor and dad to two feisty kids.
Currently I serve as Assistant Professor of Viola at the University of New Mexico. I’m passionate about teaching the viola to students of all ages and levels, whether it’s a beginner just starting their journey with the instrument, or an advanced player pursuing a career in music.
Through String Gym, my online program for violists, I work with players from around the world.
I write about teaching, practicing and all things viola on my blog, String Theory.
